Play & Create

Our Play and Create Class is a fun, creative experience for kids ages 3-5, and it's perfect for your little one! Each week, we start by reading a story to spark their imagination, and then we introduce a new art activity, giving your child the freedom to explore and create in their own unique way.

They’ll have a few different choices of materials and activities, so they can pick what excites them most. It's all about enjoying the process of making art, without worrying about the outcome.

Whether you’re looking for weekly classes or just want to drop in when it fits your schedule, this class is ideal for children who haven’t started kindergarten yet. It’s a great way for them to get creative, have fun, and develop important skills!

Enroll today! – it’s simple, easy, and convenient!

In our PreK classes, the focus is on process art, where the learning happens in the act of creating, and the final result isn’t the priority—it’s all about the creative journey! Each class usually begins with a story to inspire the kids, followed by offering a couple of supplies at a time to spark their imagination as they create their own unique artwork.

We also work on developing fine motor skills using tools like scissors, hole punches, and drawing materials, helping your child build strength and coordination. Our sessions runs 8 weeks for just $168 or drop-in at your convenience at $26 per class, depending on availability.

FAQs

What is Process Art?

Process art focuses on the creative journey, not the final result. It gives your child the freedom to explore, experiment, and make their own choices while creating. There’s no “right” way—just imagination and discovery.

This approach builds confidence, encourages independent thinking, and develops fine motor skills, all in a fun, relaxed environment. Every piece of art is unique, and your child will love the freedom to create something truly their own!

Why Process Art is the Best Choice for Preschoolers?

Process art is ideal for preschoolers because it nurtures their natural curiosity and creativity. At this age, children are exploring the world around them, and process art lets them experiment freely without the pressure of making something “perfect.” They get to make choices, try new materials, and follow their imagination—building independence and confidence along the way.

It’s also great for their development! Cutting, painting, and gluing help strengthen fine motor skills, while the open-ended nature of process art promotes problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional growth. Plus, it’s all about having fun and expressing themselves, making it the perfect fit for young minds!

Can't I do this with my child at home?

Of course, you can definitely do art at home with your child, and it can be a wonderful experience!

But what makes Art Cart Kids special is that everything is ready for you—supplies are gathered, and you don’t have to worry about cleanup afterward. Plus, having an experienced art teacher guiding your child means they get thoughtful support and encouragement in exploring new ideas and techniques.

In our studio, your child also benefits from being in a social setting, learning alongside other kids, and sharing their creative process with new friends. It’s more than just art—it’s a chance for them to grow socially, build confidence, and try things they might not have thought of on their own. And the best part? You get to enjoy their creativity without the mess at home!
